Sport Touring Conversion 1983 GS850G Motorcyclist Magazine, May 1997 Issue This is the article that put me on the road to owning a GS. It appeared in May 1997, and in March 1998 I finally located my very own Cosmos Blue 1983 GS850G. I didn't have $1,600 to blow on luggage, but I did upgrade the suspension right away for better behavior in the twisties. This article was published in black and white, unfortunately, but we can tell that the bike in the article was also Cosmos Blue because the only two paint colors for 1983 were the two-tone blue and solid black.
